Best Translated Book Awards

They’ve announced the winners of this year’s Best Translated Book Awards, and in the fiction category Yuri Herrera’s Signs Preceding the End of the World, translated by Lisa Dillman, took the prize.

This is certainly a worthy winner, both because of the high quality of the novel itself and that of the translation. Well-timed, too, as And Other Stories is bringing out his The Transmigration of Bodies (also translated by Lisa Dillman) just two months from now; see their publicity page, or pre-order your copy at Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk.
