FP goes ‘Around the World in 40 Books’

At Foreign Policy they ‘asked distinguished writers and thinkers to pick their favorite books about 20 of the world’s great cities’, and now offer the responses, in Around the World in 40 Books.

It’s a decent list, albeit with as much non-fiction as fiction, and while not all the selections are contemporary, many are. Certainly not a bad starting point, and some nice surprise suggestions.
