There have been a lot of year-end ‘best books’-lists, but only a few focused specifically on translations. Among the limited offerings:
- Get A Global Perspective With 5 Of The Year’s Best Books In Translation by Juan Vidal at npr. Five is rather few titles, especially when three of them are Spanish-language titles from Latin America (making for rather limited global perspectives), but at least it’s something.
- Best Books of 2016: Translations ! Steve Donoghue’s idiosyncratically personal top ten.
- Best books of 2016: Fiction in translation Ángel Gurría-Quintana’s selection at the Financial Times (paywalled, but this link should make it reachable …)
